We took a lovely drive through Groton MA along 119 last Saturday to Brookline, NH and the Averill House Vineyard. It was located in the 1830’s family barn renovated to create the space for the winery. “The family prides itself in keeping an unassuming, friendly, and relaxing atmosphere at the winery that lends itself to personal exploration and an intimate tasting” as stated on their website… but oh so true!
We walked through the door and felt instantly welcome and found a seat at the wine bar to enjoy our tasting. We were given the first stamp on our card. The tasting began Nov. 23rd and continues to Dec 22, 2019 and includes 12 different N.H. wineries but you can only go to each one time.
We each received a tasting of 4 different wines and we each chose different wines so we could sample more of their wines. We enjoyed them all but our favorite was True Belle it finished with a peach taste, YUM!! We of course had to bring a bottle home and will be returning to purchase more wine!

Tis’ the season for shopping and we enjoyed their lovely shop while sipping wine and enjoying a delightful winter treat dusted with sugar. I did purchase a Christmas gift but I cannot tell you what I purchased just in case the person intended for the gift may be reading this blog and she will know it is for her:)
I HIGHLY recommend this wine tour as a festive part of this Christmas season!
